DGS-3630 Series Layer 3 Stackable Managed Switch Web UI Reference Guide Figure 13-22 Device Environment Window External Alarm Settings This window is used to display and configure the external alarm settings. This is used to enable monitoring the external alarm source status or to configure external alarm message for a channel. The source of alarm is located outside of the Switch and is monitored via pre-defined connecting channels. Each channel represents a specific alarm event. The status of an alarm source can be either in the alarm state or in the normal state. If the source is absent or the source is present and in the normal state, the status will be normal. The status will be abnormal if the source is in the abnormal state. A notification will be sent when the monitoring status is changed. To view the following window, click Monitoring > External Alarm Settings, as shown below: Figure 13-23 External Alarm Settings Window The fields that can be configured in External Alarm Trap Settings are described below: Parameter External Alarm Trap State Description Select to enable or disable the external alarm trap state here. Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. The fields that can be configured in External Alarm Settings are described below: Parameter Unit Channel Description Select the Switch unit that will be used for this configuration here. Select the channel to be configured here. The range is from 1 to 2. 601
