Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Remove the battery. 3. Open the display at an 180 degree angle. On the right side of the computer, use a flat-bladed screwdriver or spudger (inserted into the notch) to pry up the LED cover. 4. Gently pry along the edge of the LED cover to release it from the latches and remove.

Removing the LED Cover
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2.
Remove the
battery
.
3.
Open the display at an 180 degree angle. On the right side of the computer, use a flat-bladed screwdriver or spudger (inserted into the notch) to pry up
the LED cover.
4.
Gently pry along the edge of the LED cover to release it from the latches and remove.
