Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Remove the battery from the computer. 3. Remove the access panel from the computer. 4. Remove the fan from the computer. 5. Loosen the screws securing the heat sink to the system board. 6. Lift up the heat sink at an angle and remove it from the computer.

Removing the Heat Sink
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2.
Remove the
battery
from the computer.
3.
Remove the
access panel
from the computer.
4.
Remove the
fan
from the computer.
5.
Loosen the screws securing the heat sink to the system board.
6.
Lift up the heat sink at an angle and remove it from the computer.
