Common Settings Settings Register iBMC on DNS DNS iBMC Name Use DHCP for DNS Domain Name DNS Domain Name Description When checked, register this address with the Domain Name Server (DNS). Name to use when registering with DNS. Enable / disable acquisition of DNS from DHCP. Domain name to be used if it was not acquired from DHCP. Table 1-18. IPv4 Settings Settings Description IPv4 Enabled If NIC enabled, this selects IPv4 protocol support, and the other fields in this section to be enabled. DHCP Enabled Enable / disable using DHCP for this function. IP Address Use this IP address. Gateway Setup the gateway of the iBMC. Subnet Mask Subnet mask Use DHCP to obtain DNS server Enable / disable using DHCP for this function. addresses Preferred DNS Server Specify the IP address of the preferred DNS server. Alternate DNS Server Specify the alternative IP address to be used when the preferred DNS server is not available. NOTE: The Dell Remote Management Controller is fully IPMI 2.0 compliant.
