Using the Dell M8428-k CLI to set the IP address To set the IP address of the switch module using the switch CLI via Serial port (rather than through the CMC), refer to the Dell M8428-k Hardware Reference Manual under the section with this same section name. Connecting to the converged network switch management interface After succesfully setting the IP address of the switch module, a terminal emulator (Telnet, SSH) CLI connection can be established to the converged switch module, from a remote management workstation, through the Chassis Management Controller (CMC) Ethernet port. The management interface can be used for any additional configuration of the switch module.
