Installing the Control-Panel Module CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product. 1 Assemble the power button and power button board in the control-panel module. 2 Tighten the screw to secure the power button board to the control-panel module. See Figure 3-23. 3 Connect the control-panel cable to the control-panel module. 4 Replace the bracket and tighten the single screw to secure the bracket to the back of the control-panel module. 5 Close the system. See "Closing the System" on page 67. 6 Reconnect the system to the power source and turn on the system and attached peripherals. 7 If applicable, replace the front bezel. Installing the Control-Panel Module

Assemble the power button and power button board in the control-panel
module.

Tighten the screw to secure the power button board to the control-panel
module. See Figure 3-23.

Connect the control-panel cable to the control-panel module.

Replace the bracket and tighten the single screw to secure the bracket to
the back of the control-panel module.

Close the system. See "Closing the System" on page 67.

Reconnect the system to the power source and turn on the system and
attached peripherals.

If applicable, replace the front bezel. See "Installing the Front Bezel" on
page 66.
