4 Using your XPS Stylus Holding your XPS Stylus Hold your XPS Stylus as you hold a pencil or pen. Adjust the grip so that you can use the barrel button. Ensure not to accidentally press the barrel buttons while drawing or positioning the XPS Stylus. Customizing your XPS Stylus with DPeM Use Dell Peripheral Manager (DPeM) to customize the pen buttons, change pressure sensitivity, perform firmware upgrade and so on. DPeM is automatically downloaded and installed the first time your XPS Stylus is connected to the computer. If DPeM is not downloading automatically, perform the following steps to manually install DPeM: 1. Set up your XPS Stylus. See Setting up your XPS Stylus 2. Run SupportAssist and ensure that Windows and your computer's drivers are up-to-date. 3. Browse to the Dell Peripheral Manager download page on www.dell.com/support. 4. Tap or click Download to save the installer to your computer. 5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. NOTE: For more information on using DPeM, search in the Knowledge Base Resource at www.dell.com/support. Replacing the pen nib When the pen nib on your XPS Stylus is worn out or damaged, replace the pen nib using the nib remover as shown in the following image. Using your XPS Stylus 11
