PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION Tool will not start. The extension cord and/or plug is defective. Have the extension cord and/or plug checked by a qualified electrician and replaced if necessary. Internal components are too hot. Allow tool to cool down. Brushes are worn out. Have brushes replaced by an authorized DeWALT service center. Reduced power.
