Checking the print head nozzles If your photos have light or dark lines or incorrect color, the print head nozzles may be clogged. You can print a nozzle check pattern to check them. If the nozzle check pattern shows white lines or gaps, you can run the head cleaning program. 1. On the Maintenance screen, select Nozzle Check by using the u d buttons, then press the OK button. 2. Load some plain paper in the printer, select OK by using the u d buttons, then press the OK button. The nozzle check pattern is printed. 3. Check the pattern. ❏ If the nozzle check pattern has no white lines or gaps, select Finish by using the u d buttons, then press the OK button. ❏ If the pattern has white lines or gaps, select Clean by using the u d buttons, then press the OK button. Select OK again to run the head cleaning program. When the cleaning cycle is finished. repeat steps 2 and 3 above to make sure the nozzles are clean. 4. On the Maintenance screen, select
Nozzle Check
by using the

3.
Check the pattern.
If the nozzle check pattern has no white lines or gaps, select
Finish
by using the

If the pattern has white lines or gaps, select
Clean
by using the
u
d
buttons, then press the
OK
button. Select
OK
again to run the head cleaning program. When the cleaning cycle is finished.
repeat steps 2 and 3 above to make sure the nozzles are clean.

button to return to the previous screen.
