Measuring heart rate Measuring heart rate When HR is set to ON from the Measure set. menu, you can use the heart rate monitor to measure heart rate in the chronograph, interval, and goal functions. See the following pages for information on each function. "Measuring time, distance, and speed" on page 30. "Using the interval function" on page 33. "Using the goal function" on page 39. Checking the connection You can confirm the communication status of the heart rate chest strap from the Measurement screen. If is flashing, the chest strap cannot communicate with your product. Check that you are wearing the heart rate chest strap correctly. Solid: Product is communicating with the heart rate chest strap. Flashing: Product cannot communicate with the heart rate chest strap. Displaying your heart rate The heart rate measurementis not displayed by default. You need to change the screen settings to display your heart rate. See "Screen settings" on page 86. Checking the connection
You can confirm the communication status of the heart rate chest strap from the Measurement screen.
If
is flashing, the chest strap cannot communicate with your product. Check that you are wearing the heart rate
chest strap correctly.
Displaying your heart rate
The heart rate measurementis not displayed by default. You need to change the screen settings to display your heart
rate.
