14 | Using the paper basket Using the paper basket The paper basket attaches to your printer and catches your printouts as they come out. The basket keeps your printouts from getting dirty or scratched. You can set it up either to catch the paper under the printer or in front of the printer. Note: For fine art and other sensitive prints, do not allow prints to stack in the paper basket. Catching printouts under the printer Follow these steps to catch printouts under the printer: 1. Raise the paper guides and tilt the front of the basket down. 2. Lower the paper guides, then raise the front of the basket all the way up. Fasten the front of the basket with the tabs. Note: If printouts on matte paper are smudged or have banding, raise the paper guides one level.

Using the paper basket
The paper basket attaches to your printer and catches your printouts as they come out. The basket keeps
your printouts from getting dirty or scratched. You can set it up either to catch the paper under the printer
or in front of the printer.
Note:
For fine art and other sensitive prints, do not allow prints to stack in the paper basket.
Catching printouts under the printer
Follow these steps to catch printouts under the printer:
1.
Raise the paper guides and tilt the front of the basket down.
2.
Lower the paper guides, then raise the front of the basket all the way up. Fasten the front of the basket
with the tabs.
