Chapter 1 Product Overview Maintenance Counter With this function, printer information, such as the number of lines printed, the number of autocuts, and printer operation time after the printer starts working, is automatically stored in printer's memory. You can read the counter information to use it for periodical checks or part replacement. • You can also check the head running length and number of times of autocutting with the selftest (see "Self-test Mode" on page 64). • The maintenance counter values are automatically saved in the NV memory usually every two minutes (up to four minutes). However, the values are not saved when the printer is in powersaving mode or when it is turned off without the use of the power switch. 24
