Battery Information WARNING: Do not use a sharp object to remove user‑replaceable batteries. Contact your local waste disposal department to properly recycle the batteries. Optimizing Battery Life Use premium batteries for optimal performance and maximum battery life. Consider the following suggestions to maximize battery life: • Avoid excessive use of the backlight, which will significantly decrease battery life. • Select a shorter backlight timeout. See page 24. • Turn off GPS when not using. Appendix Cleaning the Display Screen Use a soft, clean, lint-free cloth. Use water, isopropyl alcohol, or eyeglass lens cleaner. Apply the liquid to the cloth and then gently wipe the display screen with the cloth. Resetting the GPS 72H If your GPS 72H stops functioning, you can remove and then reinstall the batteries to reset the device. GPS 72H Owner's Manual 41
