Using the ProCurve Web Browser Interface Status Reporting Features Setting Fault Detection Policy One of the powerful features in the web browser interface is the Fault Detection facility. For your switch, this feature controls the types of alerts reported to the Alert Log based on their level of severity. Set this policy in the Fault Detection window (figure 5-16). Figure 5-16. The Fault Detection Window The Fault Detection screen contains a list box for setting fault detection and response policy, and enables you to set the sensitivity level at which a network problem should generate an alert and send it to the Alert Log. 5-25
