Figure 20 - IPv6 Enable/Disable For those customers that would like to have IPv6 capability for certain services and have other services disabled, HP Jetdirect provides a Firewall configuration which can be used to control access to the printer/MFP (NOTE: Please follow normal security precautions by setting passwords and controlling access to the Networking tab. See the whitepaper "HP Jetdirect Security Guidelines"). In the following example, because we are concerned with our security infrastructure not being as ready for IPv6 attacks as IPv4 attacks, we are going to disable IPv6 for management protocols, but enable IPv4 and IPv6 for everything else.
