Table 8 Fabric OS 6.2.1 closed defects (continued) Closed defect summary Solution Unable to get F_Ports (trunk ports) data from Web Tools, but CLI works. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.1 Fabric becomes unstable after changing EX_Port trunk to E_Port trunk. Switches bounce between reachable and unreachable in edge fabric. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.1 Fabric OS 6.2 RADIUS Calling-station-ID (31) implementation is used for Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.1 both device called by and workstation called from host name/IP address. As a result, RADIUS will not work properly and restriction of host access is not possible. When the host transmits PLOGI to the name server in Access Gateway Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.1 mode, the name server responds with ACK then ACC. The AG forwards the ACC to the host, which responds with ACK, but it never gets forwarded back to the name server, causing the exchange to abort. OpenVMS init command does not complete, which prevents OpenVMS Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.1 from mounting the file system with either the HP StorageWorks Encryption SAN Switch, or the encryption blade. During blade insertion or switch power up, the port fence disabled ports Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.1 that are running diagtest trigger blade fault during blade POST. HP StorageWorks DC SAN Director temperature sensor reported spurious readings leading to the CRITICAL HIL-1502 message without having first issued the HIL-1501 warning. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.1 Workaround prior to update: Ignore isolated/spurious high temperature CRITICAL errors when not preceded by warnings. After a power cycle, HIL-1610 WARNING appeared on the HP StorageWorks 8/40 SAN Switch, reporting that Fan/PS unit 1 was not supplying power; fan speeds were not available. Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.1 Workaround prior to update: This warning can be safely ignored when seen at boot time. It is caused by a single false sensor reading below minimum. HP StorageWorks Encryption SAN Switch can go to the faulty state after Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.1 upgrading to any Fabric OS 6.2.0x version. Firmwarecommit can fail on the HP StorageWorks Encryption SAN Switch Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.1 or encryption blade with a message about a missing properties file when upgrading to Fabric OS 6.2.0d or later. An internal timing race condition can cause one or more F_Ports or E_Ports Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.1 to be brought down, leading to frame discards. The port will be brought back online automatically at the end of the HA or firmware upgrade operation. In a FICON environment, some frame drops occur on TI zone-enabled ISLs Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.1 during an upgrade to or from Fabric OS 6.2.0x. This causes Interface Control Checks (IFCCs) to be reported. Fabric OS 6.2.1a fixes Table 9 (page 39) lists defects closed in the Fabric OS 6.2.1a firmware release. Table 9 Fabric OS 6.2.1a closed defects Closed defect summary Solution Device connectivity across the FCIP link with the HP StorageWorks 400 MP Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.1a Router or MP Router blade will be lost after WAN issues. Credit information from the portshow of the FCIP tunnel will display a negative credit number. Fabric OS 6.2.1a fixes 39
