4. Press and hold the shutter button 1/2 way down to allow the camera to adjust the focus and exposure. Note: If you move the camera and frame a different subject while keeping the shutter button pressed 1/2 way down, the camera does not re-adjust the focus and exposure. If you decide to take a different photo, release the shutter button and start over so that the camera can adjust focus and exposure for the new subject. 5. When you see the steady green light to the right of the viewfinder, press the shutter button all the way down to take the photo. Wait for the beeps, indicating your photo has been taken, then release the shutter button.
