To change the flash setting

Off Auto with red-eye reduction The flash will not be used, regardless of the lighting conditions. Use this setting in places where flash photography is not permitted. The flash will be used if needed. Red-eye reduction minimizes the occurrence of red-eye in photos of people or animals by flashing twice- once to condition the subject's eyes to the flash, and a second time to take the photo. If you are photographing people, tell them to wait for the second flash before moving. To change the flash setting: 1. Slide the lens cover open to turn the camera on. 2. Press the flash button repeatedly until the flash setting you want displays on the status LCD. The flash button cycles through the four available flash settings. Note: The flash setting remains until you change it, or until you turn the camera off and on, reverting it to the Auto setting. 3. To change the flash setting:
