Audio board NOTE: The audio board spare part kit includes the audio board cable and power button board. Description Audio board Spare part number L17078-001 IMPORTANT: Make special note of each screw and screw lock size and location during removal and replacement. Before removing the audio board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the display panel (see Display panel assembly on page 20), and then remove the following components: ▲ Battery (see Battery on page 24). Remove the audio board: 1. Release the audio board cable from the ZIF connector that secures it to the base enclosure (1). 2. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screw (2) that secures the audio board to the base enclosure. 3. Remove the audio board from the base enclosure (3). Reverse this procedure to install the audio board. Component replacement procedures 25

IMPORTANT:

and replacement.
Before removing the audio board, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by
first
unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4.
Remove the display panel (see
Display panel assembly
on page
20
), and then remove the following
components:
Battery (see
Battery
on page
24
).
Remove the audio board:
1.
Release the audio board cable from the ZIF connector that secures it to the base enclosure

2.
Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screw

that secures the audio board to the base enclosure.
3.
Remove the audio board from the base enclosure

.
Reverse this procedure to install the audio board.
