Volume button board NOTE: The volume button board spare part kit includes the volume button board cable. Description Volume button board Volume button board bracket Spare part number L17080-001 L17072-001 IMPORTANT: Make special note of each screw and screw lock size and location during removal and replacement. Before removing the volume button board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the display panel (see Display panel assembly on page 20), and then remove the following components: a. Battery (see Battery on page 24). b. Right speaker (see Right speaker on page 27). Remove the volume button board: 1. Release the volume button board cable from the ZIF connector on the system board (1) . 2. Remove the volume button board from the base enclosure (2). 3. IMPORTANT:

Before removing the volume button board, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by
first
unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4.
Remove the display panel (see
Display panel assembly
on page
20
), and then remove the following
components:
a.
Battery (see
Battery
on page
24
).
b.
Right speaker (see
Right speaker
on page
27
).
Remove the volume button board:
1.
Release the volume button board cable from the ZIF connector on the system board
