Front webcam NOTE: The front webcam spare part kit includes the webcam cable. Description Front webcam Spare part number xxxxxx-001 IMPORTANT: Make special note of each screw and screw lock size and location during removal and replacement.. Before removing the front webcam, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the display panel (see Display panel assembly on page 20), and then remove the following component: ▲ Battery (see Battery on page 24). Remove the front webcam: 1. Release the front webcam cable from the ZIF connector attaching it to the system board (1). 2. Remove the front webcam cable from the base enclosure (2). 3. Remove the front webcam from the base enclosure (3). Reverse this procedure to install the front webcam. Component replacement procedures 33

Before removing the front webcam, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by
first
unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4.
Remove the display panel (see
Display panel assembly
on page
20
), and then remove the following
component:
Battery (see
Battery
on page
24
).
Remove the front webcam:
1.
Release the front webcam cable from the ZIF connector attaching it to the system board

2.
Remove the front webcam cable from the base enclosure
(2)

3.
Remove the front webcam from the base enclosure

.
Reverse this procedure to install the front webcam.
