If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 27). 5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 29). Remove the fans: 1. Disconnect the fan cables (1) from the system board. 2. Release the wireless antenna cables and the display panel cable from the retention clips (2) and the routing channels (3) built into the fans. 3. Remove the four Phillips PM2.0×4.5 screws (4) that secure the fans to the keyboard/top cover. 4. Remove the fans (5).
