Infrared board cable Table 5-12 Infrared board cable spare part information Description Infrared board cable Spare part number L94507-001 Before removing the infrared board cable, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 30), and then remove the following components: a. Battery (see Battery on page 33) b. Solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 35) c. Fan (see Fan on page 38) d. System board (see System board on page 58) Remove the infrared board cable: 1. Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the infrared board cable is connected, and then disconnect the infrared board cable from the infrared board. 2. Remove the infrared board cable (2). Reverse this procedure to install the infrared board cable. Component replacement procedures 63
