Reverse this procedure to install the TouchPad button board. Battery Board (select models only) Description Battery board for HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC Spare part number 763710-001 The battery board is for select HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC computer models. Before removing the battery board, follow these steps: 1. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 42). 4. Remove the optical drive (see Optical drive on page 43). 5. Remove the base enclosure and top cover (see Base enclosure on page 46). Remove the battery board: 1. Turn the computer, with the front edge toward you. 2. Remove the two Phillips screws (1). 3. Lift the battery board (2) to remove it. Reverse this procedure to install the battery board. Optical drive connector NOTE: The optical drive connector and cable are included in the optical drive spare part kit. (See Optical drive on page 43 for the spare part kit information.) The battery board is for select HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC computer models.
Before removing the battery board, follow these steps:
1.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
3.
Remove the battery (see

42
).
4.
Remove the optical drive (see
Optical drive
on page
43
).
5.
Remove the base enclosure and top cover (see
Base enclosure
on page
46
).
Remove the battery board:
1.
Turn the computer, with the front edge toward you.
2.
Remove the two Phillips screws

3.
Lift the battery board

to remove it.
Reverse this procedure to install the battery board.
