Remove the optical drive connector board: 1. Release the ZIF connector to which the optical drive connector board cable is attached, and then disconnect the optical drive connector board cable (1) from the system board. 2. Remove the two Phillips PM2.5×3.5 screws (2) that secure the optical drive connector board to the base enclosure. 3. Remove the optical drive connector board (3) from the base enclosure. Reverse this procedure to install the optical drive connector board. Speakers Description Speakers (include cables and 4 rubber isolators) Spare part number 686925-001 Before removing the speakers, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 47), and then remove the following components: a. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 48) b. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 52) c. Remove the optical drive connector board:
1.
Release the ZIF connector to which the optical drive connector board cable is attached, and then
disconnect the optical drive connector board cable
(1)
from the system board.
2.
Remove the two Phillips PM2.5×3.5 screws
(2)
that secure the optical drive connector board to
the base enclosure.
3.
Remove the optical drive connector board
(3)
from the base enclosure.
Reverse this procedure to install the optical drive connector board.
