USB board Description USB board Spare part number 686918-001 Before removing the USB board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 47), and then remove the following components: a. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 48) b. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 52) c. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 56) d. Top cover (see Top cover on page 65) e. Speakers (see Speakers on page 84) Remove the USB board: 1. Disconnect the subwoofer cable (1) from the USB board. 2. 1.
Disconnect the subwoofer cable
(1)
from the USB board.
2.
Remove the Phillips PM2.5×3.5 screw

that secures the USB board to the base enclosure.
3.
Remove the USB board

from the base enclosure.
