NFC board Description NFC board (includes NFC board cable) Spare part number 801800-001 Before removing the NFC board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 29). 5. Remove the service cover (see Service cover on page 30). Remove the NFC board: 1. Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector (1) to which the NFC board cable is attached, and then disconnect the NFC board cable from the NFC board (2). 2. Remove the Phillips M1.5×2.0 screw (3) that secures the NFC board to the bottom cover. 3. Detach the NFC board (4) from the bottom cover. Before removing the NFC board, follow these steps:

5.
Remove the service cover (see

Remove the NFC board:
1.
Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector

to which the NFC board cable is attached, and then
disconnect the NFC board cable from the NFC board

2.
Remove the Phillips M1.5×2.0 screw
(3)
that secures the NFC board to the bottom cover.
3.
Detach the NFC board
(4)
from the bottom cover. (The NFC board is attached to the bottom cover with
double-sided tape.)
4.
Remove the NFC board and cable.
