FAIL (Power Supply Failure) Communication Ports Lights solid yellow when power supply fails. Blinks yellow when power supply is drawing more current than it should, because of a short-circuit in the power supply or elsewhere in the server. If the short is in the power supply, the power supply shuts down. If the short is in the server, the server shuts down. PCI Hot Plug Slot LEDs Slots P7 through P10 on the I/O baseboard are 64-bit PCI slots that can be individually powered down through system software. These four PCI Hot Plug slots each have two LEDs. The LEDs are on the I/O baseboard, but you can see them through the server's rear panel. The green LED indicates whether power to the slot is on or off.
