Documents that contain solid graphics, such as business graphs and charts, to be printed in shades of gray. For grayscale printing of color images, use grayscale mode. With grays` cale imaging, different colors and saturation levels of color are repre` sented as different shades of gray. The table below shows the settings that you can change with the HP
OfficeJet printer. It also gives the factory settings (defaults), where
applicable.

Use Whenever You Need To Print ...
Printout
Black Text
Documents that contain only black text, such as letters. Black Text is the
default mode.
Grayscale
Documents that contain solid graphics, such as business graphs and
charts, to be printed in shades of gray.
For grayscale printing of color images, use grayscale mode. With grays`
cale imaging, different colors and saturation levels of color are repre`
sented as different shades of gray. For more information, see "Choosing
the Grayscale Options," later in this chapter.
Print Quality
Best
Documents with highest print quality. This mode prints more slowly than
Normal mode for all documents.
Normal
Documents with letter quality printing. Normal is the default print quality
setting.
EconoFast
Documents with draft quality printing. EconoFast prints faster and uses
less ink.
