Dock components The following sections describe the removal and replacement procedure of the dock components Base enclosure Description Base enclosure Spare part number 743227-001 Before disassembling the keyboard dock, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the keyboard dock. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Disconnect the tablet from the keyboard dock (see Releasing the tablet from the keyboard dock on page 30). Remove the base enclosure: 1. Remove the lower four Phillips PM2.5×6.0 screws (1). 2. Remove the two upper rubber feet (2), and then the two Phillips PM2.5×6.0 screws (3) underneath. 3. Separate and release the base enclosure (4) from the dock. Reverse this procedure to install the base enclosure. Dock components 31

Before disassembling the keyboard dock, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the keyboard dock. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn

2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and

4.
Disconnect the tablet from the keyboard dock (see

).
Remove the base enclosure:
1.
Remove the lower four Phillips PM2.5×6.0 screws

Remove the two upper rubber feet

, and then the two Phillips PM2.5×6.0 screws

underneath.
3.
Separate and release the base enclosure
(4)
from the dock.
Reverse this procedure to install the base enclosure.
