Speakers Description Speakers (include, speaker cable, and 4 rubber isolators) Spare part number 732084-001 Before removing the speakers, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 40), and then remove the following components: a. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 45). b. Service door (see Service door on page 42). c. WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 44). d. Memory module (see Memory module on page 42). e. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 51). f. Top cover (see Top cover on page 55). g. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 59). h. System board (see System board on page 68). Remove the speakers: ▲ Remove the speakers by lifting up on the clip on the right side speaker and lifting the speakers. Carefully and gently lift the speaker wire connecting the left and right speakers. NOTE: The speaker connection cable was removed when removing the system board. NOTE: The speakers include rubber isolators that are installed in the screw holes. These isolators are crucial to the performance of the speakers. Component replacement procedures 83

Before removing the speakers, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the battery (see

Remove the speakers:
Remove the speakers by lifting up on the clip on the right side speaker and lifting the speakers.
Carefully and gently lift the speaker wire connecting the left and right speakers.
NOTE:
The speaker connection cable was removed when removing the system board.
NOTE:
The speakers include rubber isolators that are installed in the screw holes. These isolators are
crucial to the performance of the speakers.
