Power Conservation To conserve battery power, the camera's Display backlight shuts off automatically when there is no button activity for 60 seconds. If the camera is in Preview mode, it switches to Playback mode. To turn on the Display backlight and activate the camera, press any button. If no buttons are pressed for 5 minutes, the camera turns off (unless it is connected to a computer). You can also turn off the Display backlight manually by pressing and holding the button for at least 2 seconds. To turn on the Display backlight again, press the button for at least 2 seconds. NOTE Power conservation only occurs when the camera is running from battery power. 6-Appendix A: Accessories and 57

Power Conservation
