USB Configuration This setting determines how a computer recognizes the camera. 1. In the Setup Menu (see page 113), select USB. 2. Use the buttons to highlight a setting: • Digital Camera-The computer recognizes the camera as a digital camera using the Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) standard. This is the default setting. • Disk Drive-The computer recognizes the camera as a disk drive using the Mass Storage Device Class (MSDC) standard. Use this setting to transfer images to a computer without the HP Image Zone software (see page 130). You may be unable to use this setting with a Windows 98 computer without the HP Image Zone software. 3. Press to save the setting and return to the Setup Menu. USB Configuration
This setting determines how a computer recognizes the
camera.
1.
In the
Setup Menu
(see page 113), select
USB
.
2.
Use the
buttons to highlight
a setting:
•
Digital Camera
—The
computer recognizes the
camera as a digital camera
using the Picture Transfer
Protocol (PTP) standard. This
is the default setting.
•
Disk Drive
—The computer recognizes the camera as a
disk drive using the Mass Storage Device Class
(MSDC) standard. Use this setting to transfer images
to a computer without the HP Image Zone software
(see page 130). You may be unable to use this setting
with a Windows 98 computer without the
HP Image
Zone software.
3.
Press
to save the setting and return to the
Setup
Menu
.
