Power down the server (on page 21). 2. Remove all power: a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source. b. Disconnect each power cord from the server. 3. Extend the server from the rack (on page 21). 4. Remove the access panel (on page 22). 5. Release the full-length expansion board retainer, and then remove the PCI riser cage. 6. Remove the expansion slot cover ("Removing the expansion slot blanks" on page 64). 7. Install the expansion board. 8. Connect any required internal or external cables to the expansion board. See the documentation that ships with the expansion board. 9. Install the PCI riser cage (on page 28). 10. Secure the full-length expansion board retainer (on page 29) if any full-length expansion boards are installed. 11. Install the access panel (on page 23). 12. Install the server into the rack ("Installing the server into the rack" on page 36). 13. Connect each power cord to the server. 14. Connect each power cord to the power source.
