Clean the printhead carriage rail For best print quality, clean the printhead carriage rail monthly or more frequently in dusty or dirty environments. ● Clean the carriage wheels with a dry cotton swab. Do not use solvents, isopropyl alcohol, or any other cleaning fluid. ● Wipe the rail along its entire length with a dry, lint-free cloth. ● Lubricate the rail by applying a light coating of Hewlett-Packard approved lubricant.
