4-3 Capturing an OS image Capturing an OS image is the process of transferring the OS image from a client computer to the Deployment Solution eXpress directory (see Figure 4-5). Figure 4-5 Image capture Capture eXpress directory The process to capture the OS image differs between client software version 7 and client software version 8. The sample jobs provided by HP support the following client software versions: • The LegacyCaptureImg job is used to capture client software version 7 and before. • The CaptureImg job is used to capture client software version 8. Section 3-3, "Installing Deployment Solution sample jobs", describes how to download these sample jobs.
