B. Fan mounting height: Your Limited Edition fan comes with the proper hardware to hang the fan from a standard 8' ceiling, so the fan blades will be 12" from the ceiling and approximately 7 feet from the floor. See Fig. 2. Your fan also comes with an additional set of hardware to mount the fan to ceilings of 812/ feet and over. See Fig. 3. Step 4 is divided into two sections to cover the two ceiling heights. If your ceiling is over 9 feet, you may wish to use a longer hanger pipe to achieve the desired hanging height. Optional hanger pipes needed for higher ceilings are available from Hunter. - 8 - 8 1/2 FT. Unpack the fail carefully to avoid any damage to the components. CAUTION: Never lift the fan by the motor wires. Let the fan rest in the carton liner for protection. B. Check the sacked parts. CAUTION: The pipe nipple has a special coating on the threads. Do not remove the coating. It is to help prevent the pipe nipple from unscrewing.
