MAINTENANCE Kawasaki Engine 1. Remove the plastic fastener on the top of the air filter cowling and remove the air filter cowling. WARNING! The engine and the exhaust system become very hot during operation. There is a risk for burns if touched. Allow engine and exhaust system to cool at least two (2) minutes. 2. Remove the foam rubber pre-filter and clean using a mild detergent. Squeeze it dry with a clean cloth. Remove the air filter cowling 8011-768 3. Remove the wing nuts for the air filter and remove the paper filter. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Do not use compressed air to clean the air filter. Do not wash the paper filter.
