LUBRICATION Changing the Engine Oil The engine oil should be changed for the first time after 5-8 hours of operation. Thereafter, it should be changed every 50 hours. The oil drain valve is located on the left side of the unit, below the oil filter. • Place the machine on a flat surface. • Place a container under the engine where the oil drain valve exits. • Remove the valve cap. • Allow the oil to run out into the container. • Reinstall the oil drain valve cap. • Replace the oil filter if necessary. • Fill with new engine oil in accordance with Checking the Oil Level. • Start the engine. Run it for 3-5 minutes. Stop and recheck the oil level. The dipstick markings 8009-159 Husqvarna-53

Changing the Engine Oil
The engine oil should be changed for the first time
after 5-8 hours of operation. Thereafter, it should be
changed every 50 hours. The oil drain valve is located
on the left side of the unit, below the oil filter.
Place the machine on a flat surface.
Place a container under the engine where the oil
drain valve exits.
Remove the valve cap.
Allow the oil to run out into the container.
Reinstall the oil drain valve cap.
Replace the oil filter if necessary.
Fill with new engine oil in accordance with
Checking the Oil Level.
Start the engine. Run it for 3-5 minutes. Stop and
recheck the oil level.
