If needed, see "Accessing the Security window" on page 37. 2. If the Security window displays as shown in Figure 3.12, this procedure sets or changes the password for the Admin user. If the Admin user password was not previously, set, setting it here turns on restricted access. See Chapter 4 for more details. 3. Click in the New field and press Enter or double-click in the New field. 4. Type the new password in the New field and press Enter. Passwords must contain alphanumeric characters, are case sensitive, and can be up to 12 characters. Valid characters are: A to Z, a to z, 0 to 9, space, and hyphen. 5. In the Repeat field, type the password again. 6. Click OK in the Security window to save the changes. -orClick X or press Esc to exit the window without saving changes. NOTE: If you are an administrator and you lose or forget the Admin password, call technical support. See "Appendix C: Technical Support" for contact information. If you are a regular user and you forget your password, contact your rack console switch administrator. Enabling the screen saver 1. Access the Security window. If needed, see "Accessing the Security window" on page 37 2. Select Enable Screen Saver. 3. Type the number of minutes for Inactivity Time (from 1 to 99) to delay activation of password protection and the screen saver feature. 4. For Mode, select Energy if the monitor is ENERGY STAR® compliant, otherwise select Screen.

Setting or changing the current user’s password
1.
Access the Security window. If needed, see “Accessing the Security window” on page 37.

If the Security window displays as shown in Figure 3.12, this procedure sets or changes the
password for the Admin user. If the Admin user password was not previously, set, setting it
