7 DSC OPERATION ■■DSC Settings DDCH Auto Switch According to the regulation, after receiving a DSC call, the transceiver's operating channel is switched to the specified channel by the call. However, when this function is set to "Ignore after 10 sec." or "Hold after 10 sec.," the transceiver's operating channel is not switched, even after receiving a DSC call. 1. Open "CH Auto Switch." [MENU] > DSC Settings > CH Auto Switch 2. Select an option. Rotate (Example: When "Single" is + Push selected in the Procedure setting) •• Accept after 10 sec.: After receiving a DSC call, the transceiver remains on the current operating channel for 10 seconds. After that, the transceiver automatically switches to the displayed frequency. •• Ignore after 10 sec.: After receiving a DSC call, if you do not push in 10 seconds, the transceiver ignores the call, and then remains on the current operating channel. LLDisplayed only when "Single" is selected in the "Procedure" setting. (p. 27) •• Hold after 10 sec.: After receiving a DSC call, if Accept is not pushed within 10 seconds, the transceiver holds the call as a DSC task and remains on the current operating channel. LLDisplayed only when "Multiple" is selected in the "Procedure" setting. (p. 28) •• Manual: After receiving a DSC call, you can select whether or not to accept the received DSC call. 3. Push [MENU], or to return to the Main screen. DDNMEA Data Output When receiving a DSC call from the station that is selected in this setting, the transceiver outputs the DSC data to the NMEA output port. CH Auto Switch
According to the regulation, after receiving a DSC
call, the transceiver’s operating channel is switched to
the specified channel by the call. However, when this
function is set to “Ignore after 10 sec.” or “Hold after
10 sec.,” the transceiver’s operating channel is not
switched, even after receiving a D»C call.

Open “CH Auto »witch.”
[MENU] > DSC Settings >

2. Select an option.
(Example: When “»ingle” is
selected in the Procedure setting)
Accept after 10 sec.:
After receiving a DSC call, the transceiver
remains on the current operating channel
for 10 seconds. After that, the transceiver
automatically switches to the displayed
frequency.
Ignore after 10 sec.:
After receiving a DSC call, if you do not push
in 10 seconds, the transceiver
ignores the call, and then remains on the
current operating channel.

Displayed only when “»ingle” is selected in the

Hold after 10 sec.:
After receiving a DSC call, if Accept is not
pushed within 10 seconds, the transceiver
holds the call as a DSC task and remains on
the current operating channel.

After receiving a DSC call, you can select
whether or not to accept the received D»C call.

NMEA Data Output

DSC data to the NMEA output port.
