5 MDC 1200 SYSTEM OPERATION Transmitting a call DDTransmitting a PTT ID call You can transmit a call with your station ID. Hold down [PTT] to transmit. •• Beeps sound, depending on the presetting. •• Your station ID is transmitted when pushing [PTT] (at the beginning of the transmission) or releasing [PTT] (at the end of transmission), depending on the presetting. DDTransmitting an MDC Emergency call An MDC Emergency call can be transmitted in the same way as the 2-Tone signaling operation. See "Emergency call" for details. (pp. 3-3 ~ 3-6) The transceiver can also be set to keep the microphone open in the Emergency mode to monitor the situation, depending on the presetting. DDTransmitting an MDC Emergency Acknowledgment When receiving an MDC Emergency call, an MDC Emergency Acknowledgment may automatically be transmitted, depending on the presetting. 5-4
