Programming a different universal remote control You can operate your Insignia TV with a new or existing universal remote control. To program a universal remote control: 1 Find the code for your universal remote control by identifying its model (or your set-top box's remote control manufacturer and model) on the charts below, then making note of the numbered code below it. You will use the numbered code to program your remote control to work with your Insignia TV. Making connections Connecting the power To connect the power: • Plug the power cord into the AC IN jack on the back of your TV, then plug the other end of the cord into a power outlet. Cautions • Make sure that you use the correct type of power. See the label on your TV. • If you do not intend to use your TV for an extended period of time, unplug the power cord from the power outlet.
