Intel Server Board S5500HV Memory Slot Layout Note: Memory is only populated using DIMM slots associated with a given installed processor. Ie.) With only one processor installed, only the DIMM slots associated with that processor should be populated. Memory installed into DIMM slots for a processor that is not installed are non-functional. DIMMs are organized into physical slots on DDR3 memory channels that belong to processor sockets. The memory channels from processor socket 1 are identified as Channels A, B, and C.
