Continued Searching for a Particular Point You can search for a particular portion while playing a disc- Variable Speed Forward/Reverse Search. • No sound comes out during Variable Speed Forward/ Reverse Search. 7 Variable Speed Forward Search To fast-forward the chapter, press ¡ during play. • Each time you press the button, the search speed changes as follows: 7 A-B Repeat While playing, you can also select a portion you want to repeat. • A-B repeat is not performed between different titles. Example: REP. A- FAST PLAY (2x) PLAY (Normal play) SCAN FORWARD 1 (4x) SCAN FORWARD 2 (8x) 7 Variable Speed Reverse Search To reverse the chapter, press 1 during play. • Each time you press the button, the search speed changes as follows: FAST BACK PLAY (-2x) SCAN BACKWARD 1(-4x) BACK PLAY (-1x) To resume normal play Press DVD 6. SCAN BACKWARD 2(-8x) Repeating Playback 7 Repeat Play To repeat playback, press REPEAT repeatedly REPEAT during play. • Each time you press the button, repeat mode changes as follows: REP. CHAPTER REP. TITLE REP. A-B 1 Press A-B REPEAT to select the start point. "RPT. A-" appears on the TV screen. • "RPT A-" also appears on the display. 2 Press A-B REPEAT again to select the end point. "RPT. A-" changes to "RPT. A-B," then A-B repeat begins. The unit automatically locates point A and starts repeating the portion between points A and B. • "RPT A-B" also appears on the display. To cancel A-B Repeat, press A-B REPEAT again. "RPT. OFF" appears on the TV screen. When the on-screen bar is shown on the TV screen Repeat mode indication also changes as follows: REP. OFF • REP. CHAPTER : Current chapter will be repeated. The REPEAT 1 indicator lights up on the display. • REP. TITLE* : Current title will be repeated. The REPEAT 1 indicator lights up on the display. • REP. OFF : Repeat play is canceled. (Normal play is resumed.) * Cannot be selected during program play. REP. A- REP. AB REP. OFF If " INVALID" appears on the TV screen when pressing A-B REPEAT in step 1, A-B repeat cannot be used on the selected portion. • On some DVDs, A-B repeat may not be used even within the same title.
