Select the paper tray used for adjustment, then press

control panel

A chart applied the Screen 1 (Dot190 Recommended) is Output.

Charts are processed by colorimetry, and delivered to the output tray.

When

are not

mounted, print charts using the pre-specified paper, and measure the density using your spectropho-

tometer. Then, manually repeat adjustments until the target result is obtained. For details about the ad-

justment procedure using a spectrophotometer, refer to page 3-50 or page 3-59. After adjustment

proceed to step 7.

After outputting the charts, the screen returns to the Maximum Density Adjustment screen and the

measurement result is displayed under "Density Measurement Result (Rough Value)" in the lower right

of the screen.

Press [Measurement History] to view the measurement history (up to 30 results).

Press [Switch Display] on the [Maximum Density Measurement History] screen to change the items in

the history list. (Display 1: [Measurement Date] and [Measured Value] for each color, Display 2: [Paper

Type] and [Set Value] for each color.)

Change the adjustment value for each color to suit the measurement result.

The measurement result is lower than the desired density.: Change the adjustment value to the pos-

itive (+) side.

The measurement result is higher than the desired density.: Change the adjustment value to the

negative (-) side.

Repeat steps 3 to 6 until the desired result is obtained.

Press [OK] to complete the setting.

To cancel the change, press [Cancel]. In either case, the screen returns to the [Quality Adjustment

Menu] screen.

NOTICE

If you press [Cancel], the maximum density measurement result is not saved.

[Maximum Density Adjustment] (for i1Pro/i1Pro2)

Check the maximum density target value that is informed from the service representative.

Perform the Maximum Density Adjustment using the paper for the maximum density management that has

been decided in consultation with the service representative.

To measure the chart, use the

i1Profiler

. Install the tool in advance.
