Continuous feeding Continuous feeding can be used when you want to continuously scan small stacks of documents (less than 25) without stopping/starting a scan session. When the input elevator is in highest position, continuous feeding of small stacks of documents can be accomplished by adding them to the bottom of the stack while scanning. 1. Align the leading edges of the stacked documents. 2. Position the stack of the documents, face up in the input elevator so the stack covers the paper present sensor. As the documents are being scanned, you can continuously add documents to the bottom of the stack. When adding documents, be sure that the paper present sensor remains covered at all times. Manual feeding When the scanner is configured for manual feeding, the input elevator is raised to the highest position where approximately 25 documents can be loaded. The input elevator will remain in this position to allow documents to be fed one at a time. To manually feed documents: 1. Position the document you want to feed in the input elevator so that the paper present sensor is covered. 3-16 2. Touch Scan on the touchscreen. NOTE: The Kodak Manual Feeder Accessory is also available provides a larger surface for manual feeding. See Appendix A, Accessories for more information. A-61555 March 2007
