Your computer has a PCI Express Mini Card for connection to a wireless LAN/WiMAX. To replace the PCI Express Mini Card, read the following prerequisites. Attention: Before you start installing a PCI Express Mini Card, touch a metal table or a grounded metal object. This action reduces any static electricity from your body. The static electricity could damage the card. To replace the PCI Express Mini Card, do the following: 1. Turn off the computer and then disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer. Wait three to five minutes to let the computer cool. 2. Close the computer display, and turn the computer over. 3. Remove the battery pack. See "Replacing the battery pack" on page 23. 4. Remove the screws 1 , and then remove the bottom slot cover 2 . a ba b 5. Disconnect the cables by picking up the connectors 3 with your fingers and gently unplugging them. Then remove the screw 4 and the card pops up. Note: If a tool for removing connectors is included in the package with the new card, use the tool to disconnect the cables. 6.
