Installing Your CD-ROM Device Drivers onto the CD-ROM Setup Boot Disk Use the information in this section if: The recovery program cannot locate the device driver for the CD-ROM drive you are using, either on the CD-ROM Setup Boot Disk or on the hard disk. Your CD-ROM drive requires more than one device driver. The correct device driver for your CD-ROM drive must be on the CD-ROM Setup Boot Disk when the installation of Windows 95 begins (step 6 on page 29). This section provides two methods of making the device driver available to the recovery program. To use either method, you must have the device driver diskette for your CD-ROM drive. Method 1 on page 33 provides instructions to add the device drivers to the CD-ROM Setup Boot Disk by manually copying the device driver onto the CD-ROM Setup Boot Disk and editing the CONFIG.USE file in one of the language directories. Method 2 on page 34 is an alternative method that creates and formats a small partition on the hard disk, if necessary, and installs the CD-ROM device driver onto the hard disk.
