To partition and format your hard disk, do the following: 1. Insert the CD-ROM Setup Boot Disk into drive A. 2. Turn on or restart the computer. The recovery program starts automatically. 3. At the first screen, press Shift+F5. This takes you to an A: prompt. 4. Type CLS and press Enter to clear the screen. 5. At the A: prompt, type FDISK to partition or FORMAT to format. The following procedure describes how to install your CD-ROM device driver from a CD-ROM device driver installation diskette. If the CONFIG.SYS file is already on the hard disk, the installation program edits the file to list the CD-ROM device driver. If the CONFIG.SYS file is not already on the hard disk, most installation programs create the file and then edit it to list the CD-ROM device driver.
